Deyermond Park Groundbreaking

ASA, Andover Little League and the Town’s entire youth sports community celebrated a major milestone on April 7th with the ceremonial groundbreaking of the new Deyermond Park project on Blanchard Street. Construction is scheduled to begin immediately and is expected to be completed by Fall 2012. The Park should be ready for use by mid-2013 and will include 3 baseball diamonds and, a large soccer space that can be configured as three U-12 fields or a single, full-sized field with practice space. To see the site plan, click here. The project is funded through a partnership among the Town, ASA and ALL.
ASA would like to thank the many people and organizations who have come together to make this project possible including, the Andover Taxpayers; our friends at Andover Little League; the Board of Selectmen; Town Manager Buzz Stapcynski; project architect Chris Huntress; the Loosigian family; the Deyermond family; and ASA’s many wonderful volunteers and member families. The time, money and energy you have invested will pay dividends to generations of Andover children to come who will use and love this Park.
Tax deductible contributions to the new Deyermond Park and other ASA field development projects can be made to the ASA Fields Fund by mailing your check to PO Box 1014, Andover, MA 01810, payable to Andover Soccer Association.
